The month of Travel Movies that will inspire you to travel

Recently, I began watching a different travel movie a day. They have inspired me, excited me and made me determined to travel to other places to visit and to explore. You will want to pack your bags get your passport and let the different movie adventures take you away. Get the popcorn ready for some wanderlust inspirational movies.

 

 

  1. Trip to italy –  comedy with a twist of drama. The filming for this movie was shot in some of the most beautiful parts of Italy, depicting quite a few different locations.
  2. Euro Trip – comedy. The filming locations for this movie were in Germany, Czech Republic, Vatican City and the United Kingdom – hence the name of the film.
  3. Under the Tuscan sun – A combination of  comedy, drama and romance. This movie was filmed in Italy and takes in snippets of the United States of America.
  4. The Holiday – comedy and drama. The filming locations that were used for this film can be found in The United Kingdom and the United States of America
  5. Letters to Juliet – comedy, drama and romance. The romantic filming locations were set in Italy and some parts in the United States of America.
  6. When in Rome – comedy and romance. Filmed across Italy and the United Stated of America.
  7. The Motorcycle Diaries – adventure, biography and drama. The filming locations that they used for this film were in Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Cuba and Venezuela.
  8. A Map for Saturday – documentary. A variety of locations including; Argentina, Australia, Brazil, United Kingdom, India, Italy, Nepal, Spain, Thailand and the United States of America.
  9. Into the Wild – adventure, biography and drama. The filming locations for this film are Mexico and United States of America
  10. 180 degrees South – documentary, drama and sport. Chile, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Pacific Ocean, Peru and the United States of America are some of the areas that can be seen in 180 degrees.
  11. Little Miss Sunshine – comedy and drama. Filmed entirely in the United States of America.
  12. Wild – adventure, biography and drama. Another movie filmed entirely in the United States of America.
  13. Away We Go – comedy, drama and romance. To further your fix on the United States of America.
  14. Mamma Mia – comedy and musical. Filmed in Greece, Morocco, United Kingdom and the United States of America.
  15. Up in the Air – drama and romance. Filming takes place in the United States of America.
  16. The Bucket List – adventure, comedy and drama. A variety of locations including; Egypt, India, France, China, Tanzania and the United States of America
  17. The Lord of the Rings various films – fantasy, adventure and drama. Both the North and South Islands of New Zealand is where the filming took place for the various movies.
  18. Crocodile Dundee -comedy and adventure. Both the United States of America and Australia were the chosen venues for the filming of one of the all time favourites.
  19. Indiana Jones various films – action, adventure and fantasy. Various places were chosen for the Indiana Jones films; Jordan, United States of America, Spain, Italy, Germany, United Kingdom, Sri Lanka and China.
  20. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty – adventure, comedy and drama. Locations include: Iceland, Canada, United States of America and Greenland.
  21. Australia – adventure, drama and romance. Location, location, location – Australia.
  22. Eat Pray Love – drama and romance. The film takes the viewer through Indonesia, Italy, India and the United States of America.
  23. Midnight in Paris – comedy, fantasy and romance. As the name suggests Paris, France.
  24. Tracks – adventure, biography and drama. The Flinders Ranges in South Australia are highlighted in this adventure.
  25. In Bruges – comedy, crime and drama. Parts of Belgium make their debut.
  26. On the Road – adventure, drama and romance. The United States of America, Argentina, Mexico and Canada can be seen in abundance.
  27. The Guilt Trip –  comedy and drama. The United States of America are highlighted.
  28. How Much Further – drama movie. Ecuador is the picturesque backdrop for this dramatic film.
  29. One Week – This movie is a adventure and drama movie. Canada can be seen from many angles.
  30. The art of Travel – adventure. Filming took place in Bolivia, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru and the United States of America
  31. Riding Solo to the Top of the World –  documentary. Some of the most fascinating parts of India can be seen throughout this doco.
